Altogether Lovely Ministries: END TIMES (Eschatology)
The Study of the End Times (Eschatology) is a very important aspect of Christianity and many times misunderstood. We look back to Christ's First Coming by faith and look forward to
Christ's Second Coming by faith. 1 Corinthians 11:26 says, "For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes." "Even so, Come Lord Jesus!!"

THE 5 JUDGMENTS of God. We’ll explain it more as we go along:
1. CALVARY: (God’s 1st Judgment) CHRIST’S FIRST COMING. JUDGED MANKIND’S SIN: GUILTY.
2. JUDGMENT OF BELIEVERS FOR WORKS: at the JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST: (2nd Judgment) in heaven after the Rapture
3. JEWS DURING TRIBULATION: (God’s 3rd Judgment): Seven Years of God’s Wrath
4. JUDGMENT OF THE NATIONS "on HIS GLORIOUS THRONE": (God’s 4th Judgment): GENTILE NATIONS AFTER ARMEGGEDON:
5. THE GREAT WHITE THRONE: (God’s 5th Judgment): (Revelation 20:11-15) After Millennial Kingdom He judged the "wicked dead"..
CALVARY: (God’s First Judgment) CHRIST’S FIRST COMING.
(Ephesians 2:8- 9) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
(John 5:24) “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
(John 3:36) Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
CHURCH: (Pentecost to Rapture) (Acts 2:1-4: birth of Church)
(Revelation Chapter 2-3: different kinds of churches over 2,000 years as well as different church time periods. Also different characteristics of the churches that overlap)
RAPTURE: “what will take place later” is Revelation 4:1-2 (the RAPTURE & prophetic future to Rev.22)
(Revelation 4:1-2) “After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this. At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.”
(1 Thess.4:16-17) For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
The “dead saints” will be caught up first and we who are “alive” (the church) will be caught up together with them.
• NOTE: Jesus does not put his feet on the ground here. We are “caught up in to the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.”
At the Transfiguration, John (Peter & James) is a picture of the church, Moses is a picture of Old Testament saints, Elijah is a picture of the raptured.
(John 11:25-26) 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. (first part: notice some “die) 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. (second part: notice some “never die”) Do you believe this?” https://clarencelarkincharts.com/Clarence_Larkin_1.html
(Matthew 24:37-40) As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.
(1 Thess. 1:10) and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead— Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.
(1 Thessalonians 5:9) For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(Genesis 5:24) Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.
(2 Kings 2:11) As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

JUDGMENT OF BELIEVERS FOR WORKS AT THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST: (God’s Second Judgment in heaven after the Rapture):
(2 Corinthians 5:10) For we must all appear (raptured believers) before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
(Romans 14:10) You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister (fellow believers)? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all (believers) stand before God’s judgment seat.
(1 Corinthians 3:11-15) For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.

TRIBULATION: JEWS DURING TRIBULATION: (God’s 3rd Judgment on Earth): Seven Years of God’s Wrath. Shortly after the Rapture: The “Elect” here are the Jews.
NOTE: the only time the "church" is mentioned after Rev.3 is in Rev.22:16 looking back. Otherwise in Rev.4:1- Rev.22:21 NEVER!!
(Jeremiah 30:4-9) These are the words the Lord spoke concerning Israel and Judah: “This is what the Lord says: “‘Cries of fear are heard—terror, not peace. Ask and see: Can a man bear children? Then why do I see every strong man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor, every face turned deathly pale? How awful that day will be! No other will be like it. It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it. “‘In that day,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘I will break the yoke off their necks and will tear off their bonds; no longer will foreigners enslave them. Instead, they will serve the Lord their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.
(Matthew 24:21) For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.
(Daniel 12:1) “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered.
(2 Peter 3:10) But the day of the Lord (tribulation) will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
(Matthew 24:29) “Immediately after the distress of those days “‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’
(Daniel 9:24) “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.
(Revelation 6:16-17) They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”
(Matthew 24:22) “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect (Jews) those days will be shortened.

BRIEF OVERVIEW OF Revelation 5-16
Revelation 5:1 says, “Then I saw in the right hand of the one who was seated on the throne a scroll written on the front and back and sealed with seven seals.” In the context of Revelation 5, there is a search for someone worthy to open the seven-sealed book, which contains the tribulation’s judgments. After a thorough search, Christ, the lamb who was slain from the foundations of the earth, is found. Then each seal is opened, leading to successive judgments on the earth. When the seventh seal is opened, it leads to seven trumpets which are further judgments and then seven bowls of wrath which are the final judgments of the tribulation period (cf. Rev 8, 16). These are detailed between Revelation 6-16.
The specifics of the seals, trumpets, bowl judgments in Revelation are shared below, (John MacArthur):
The six seals include (1) the arrival of Antichrist, (2) war, (3) famine, (4) death, (5) martyrdom, and (6) earthquake (Rev. 6:2–12). These correspond closely with the conditions of “birth pains” found in Matthew 24:4–7. At the time of the sixth seal (earthquake), the people on earth realize they are facing the great wrath of God and the Lamb (Rev. 6:16–17) …
Next, the seventh seal brings the second wave of judgments—the seven trumpets:
1) First trumpet: One-third of the earth, trees, and grass are burned up (Rev. 8:7).
2) Second trumpet: One-third of the sea creatures die, and the ships are destroyed (8:8–9).
3) Third trumpet: One-third of the waters are polluted, and many die (8:10–11).
4) Fourth trumpet: One-third of the sun, moon, and stars are darkened (8:12).
5) Fifth trumpet: Locusts/demons are released to torment people (9:1–11).
6) Sixth trumpet: Four bound demons are released to kill one-third of humanity (9:13–19).
7) Seventh trumpet: Christ’s kingdom reign is proclaimed (11:15–18).
The final cluster of judgments are the bowl judgments. These come later in the tribulation period in rapid succession and are extremely severe:
1) First bowl: Painful sores come on people (Rev. 16:2).
2) Second bowl: The sea becomes like blood, and everything in the sea dies (16:3).
3) Third bowl: The rivers and springs of water are turned to blood (16:4–7).
4) Fourth bowl: The sun scorches people with fire and heat (16:8–9).
5) Fifth bowl: Darkness and intense pain afflict humanity (16:10–11).
6) Sixth bowl: The Euphrates River is dried up to prepare the way for kings from the East (16:12–16).
7) Seventh bowl: Severe earthquakes split the great city into three parts, cities fall, and severe hail drops from heaven (16:17–21)

MARRIAGE OF THE LAMB: The Raptured have been judged for works. Now is the Marriage of the Lamb. They will come back with the bridegroom. He came “for” them (rapture) and is now coming “with” them.
(Revelation 19:8-10) Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.) Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.” At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”
THIS IS EXCITING - we will COME WITH HIM when He returns!! PRESS HERE - BE BLESSED!!
(Revelation 19:11-16) I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean (US!!). 15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS & LORD OF LORDS.

REVELATION: (2nd part of Christ’s Return)
(Zechariah 14:4) On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.
(2 Thessalonians 1:7-10) and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.

ARMAGGEDON: After Jesus has come back with His own He is going to “kick some butt” at Armageddon and throw the beast and false prophet into the “fiery lake of burning sulphur”. He is also going to save Israel out of the Tribulation as well as others who have not bowed down to Satan.
(Rev.19:17-21; 16:13-16) And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.” Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.
JUDGMENT OF THE NATIONS: (God’s Fourth Judgment): THE GENTILE NATIONS AFTER ARMEGGEDON: The Throne of His Glory where Christ comes at the Revelation. Christ judges the nations on earth coming out of the Tribulation before the “sheep” go into the Millennial Kingdom.
(Matthew 25:31-46) “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep (nations of blessing that will go into the Millennial Kingdom) from the goats (nations that will NOT go into the Millennial Kingdom). He will put the sheep (nations) on his right and the goats (nations) on his left. “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry (Israel during Tribulation) and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ “Then he will say to those on his left (goats who did not help Israel during Tribulation), ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
MILLENNIAL KINGDOM:
(Revelation 20:1-3) Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.
(Isaiah 11:9/Habakkuk 2:14) For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
(Isaiah 11:6) And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the young goat, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them.
(Isaiah 65:20) “No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, Or an old man who does not live out his days; For the youth will die at the age of one hundred And the one who does not reach the age of one hundred will be thought accursed.
THE GREAT WHITE THRONE: (God’s Fifth Judgment): (Revelation 20:11-15) The Great White Throne for the “wicked dead” after the 1,000 year Millennium reign of Christ.
(Revelation 20:11-12) Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
EARTH’S RENOVATION BY FIRE: While the Great White Throne is happening, down on earth we will have Earth’s Renovation by Fire.
(2 Peter 3:7) “By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly man.” (see: 2 Peter 3:5-13) https://clarencelarkincharts.com/Clarence_Larkin_1.html
He didn’t come to fix the earth but to destroy it by fire that nothing ungodly would remain.
(Matthew 24:35) Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”

SEVEN NEW THINGS: (Revelation 21:1-22:21) We see:
1) New Heaven (21:1: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.) (new atmosphere around the earth);
2) the New Earth (Rev.21:1: prepared for the Jews – the Meek shall inherit the earth);
3) the New City: (21:2): I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. (21:9-23: Church returns in the New City)
(John 14:1-3) “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
4) the New Nations (Rev.21:24-27: the Nations will walk by its light)
5) the New River (22:1-3: flows from the throne of God in the New City)
6) the New Tree of Life (Rev.22:2b: For the healing of the nations)
7) the New Throne (22:3-5: where the New River flows from in the New City)
GREAT ABDICATION: we don’t know how long this will be for the Great Abdication. Christ’s work is done as “The Son of Man” for us. God shall be “All in All”.
(1 Corinthians 15:24-28) Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. https://clarencelarkincharts.com/Clarence_Larkin_1.html
